Policy Regarding Candidate Use of DOVV Web Site, E-mail Lists, and Headquarters Facilities
As a political club, the executive board of DOVV believes in extending every courtesy to those Democrats who give their time and talent to run for office. We will make our website, our email lists and our offices available as much as possible. We attempt to be neutral in our position and fair in our allotments of resources. The DOVV board reserves the final say in the equitable distribution of those resources to candidates and their representatives.
See our
Candidates Page for news of local events for our candidates.

Headquarters Location and Schedule
The Verde Valley Democratic Election Headquarters is located on the second floor of the Cottonwood Financial Center, 830 South Main Street (Across Main Street from Murphy's Grill.) The Headquarters entrance on the second floor of the building, in what was the upper-level Mingus Mountain Realty Office, above their current office. Parking is available in the back of the building directly at the second floor level, making it unnecessary to climb stairs to reach the Headquarters.
Hours are Tuesday-Friday: 1:00-5:00 p.m., Saturday: 1:00-4:00 p.m.
If you can volunteer to spend a few hours a week to help us staff the new Headquarters, please contact Jeanine Peterson at 649-0847, or Alma Lawler at 634-2914. DOVV can really use your help, particularly as we get closer to the elections.
Voter Registration Drive at Mingus Union High School:
The League of Women Voters will be conducting a lunch hour voter registration drive at Mingus Union High School over the next couple of months until school is out. Anyone who would like to help out at a registration table can contact Jan Graham at 634-7563.
Many thanks to Mingus Union Supervisor Scott Dunsmore for making this possible. As we all know, there's no better introduction to citizenship than voting, and nothing more important than beginning early. The more young people participate in our elections, the healthier our democracy will be.
Joining DOVV
Joining DOVV is easy and convenient. Dues are only $20.00 per year, and $10.00 for additional registered voters in the same household.
