Write-in Candidates

Arizona Legislative District 1 Democratic Party Voters:

Good news! We have great Democratic candidates for State Senator and State Representative from Arizona Legislative District 1, but we all have to do some work to help elect them. These loyal Democrats have stepped forward so that the current Republican candidates will not go unopposed.

To vote for an official write-in candidate:

1. On your ballot, find the write-in blanks for State Senator and State Representative.
2. Fill in the ovals only with black pen completely next to the blanks, then carefully print in the names. Spelling errors may result in your vote not being counted. Failure to fill in the oval will also void the vote.

Pat Chancerelle is an official Democratic write-in candidate for State Senator in District 1.
Visit her website at http://www.azlegdistrict1democrats.org/pat.html.

Dennis Grittner is an official Democratic write-in candidate for State Representative in District 1. Visit his website at http://www.grittner.org/.

These two candidates have to accomplish a lot in a very short period of time and they need your help.

First, they need help to get at least 308 votes as write-in candidates in the Democratic Primary on September 2nd to qualify them for the General Election and have their names directly on the ballot as Democrats.

Second, they are both running as Clean Election Candidates. They need 264 $5 Clean Election Candidate donations complete with signed forms from registered voters in Legislative District 1 to qualify for Clean Election Funding. They have only until August 21 to get the signed forms and the donations to Phoenix at the Secretary of State's Office so they need these forms from you by August 19, please.

You can download the Clean Elections Form from the web at
http://www.azlegdistrict1democrats.org/download.html.
Or you can pick them up at the Yavapai County Democratic Party Office, the Coconino County Democratic Office, the Cottonwood Office or the Sedona Office. Return to these offices.

They need people to host House Parties for them so they can meet and talk with many of you and your neighbors. Legislative District 1 is one of the 3 largest districts in Arizona and they have a lot of ground to cover.
